Nothing says holidays quite like a steamy mug of hot cocoa!
This Turmeric Hot Cocoa is warming, spicy, and just a little bit sweet, making it the perfect snow day treat--and an indulgence you can feel good about!
1 cup of milk (dairy, almond, or coconut milk all work great!)
1 1/2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp ground turmeric
1 tsp coconut oil
a pinch black pepper
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tsp honey
Directions:
Pour milk into a saucepan. Add cocoa powder, turmeric, and coconut oil, and mix together completely as you bring the mixture to a boil. Turn off the heat, add a pinch of black pepper and cinnamon. Pour into a mug, and let cool a little before adding honey. Stir and enjoy!
