I don’t know about you, but my beverage tastes change with the seasons.
While in the winter and cooler months, I crave things like a warm cup of Turmeric Hot Chocolate. But now that summer is officially in full swing, I want cold, refreshing beverages, like coconut water and smoothies. Ohhh, smoothies! :)
What I love about this Strawberry Cocoa Smoothie recipe is that it’s a little bit sweet, creamy, and made with real, wholesome ingredients that have names you can pronounce.
Like any smoothie recipe, you can customize the recipe to make it more to your personal tastes, or take advantage of whatever ingredients you have on hand. When I make my smoothie this afternoon, for example, I’m thinking of also adding in bananas and maybe even some blueberry yogurt, because I want to use up both before they spoil).
Strawberry Cocoa Smoothie (2 servings)
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of frozen strawberries
1 tablespoon of cashew butter (or nut butter of your choosing)
1 teaspoon of cocoa powder
1 cup of almond milk (or milk of your choosing)
A splash of maple syrup, for added sweetness (if desired)
Place ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth. Pour and enjoy! :D
Have you tried this smoothie? Or have a favorite summer drink of your own that you swear by? Tell me about it the comments!
